‘Londonche’ means ‘a child of London’. We are a children’s choir learning and performing traditional Bulgarian music in London in the United Kingdom.
We welcome all children aged 4 to 12. There are no auditions but we are ambitious for our young singers. All songs are taught by ear and the children learn about voice production through play, imitation and observation. We rehearse in South Kensington on two Sundays each month during school terms. Between rehearsals, the young singers get lots of practice materials and questions for exploration.
Londonche was launched in April 2023 and has already performed alongside the London Bulgarian Choir and The Turbans, as well as in the Bulgarian Embassy in London. The choir is led by Dessislava Stefanova (Musical Director of the London Bulgarian Choir) and Radoslava Leseva Adams (composer, singer and pianist).
